Week seven saw the Claremont Jets visiting the league leading Curtin Saints on Friday night.
They home team put on quite a show for their crowd with the junior squad routing the Jets 52-0 and the senior team completing the shutout with a 44-0 win.
The Saturday games were similarly lopsided, matching up the Wolverines with the Broncos and the Blitz with the Steelers.
The junior Broncos weren’t able to match the size and power of the Wolverines outfit but saved themselves from a shutout with a long catch and run. It wasn’t nearly enough though, as they ended up losing 56-6. The senior squad reversed club fortunes in the later game managing a 38-18 victory.
In a change of trend for the day the junior Blitz-Steelers game showed some solid defense along with a few offensive miscues, ending tied up at 8-8. The senior team bounced back from their surprise defeat last week putting out a solid display against a good Steeler defense, winning 32-6.
